I thought this vid would take me 4 minutes as a good distraction from studying but it took me more than an hour and BILLIONS of tries! UGH. And now my fingers are shredded! I really should have taken into account that CLINICAL SKILLZ is tomorrow and dexterity is key! UGH. This was the dumbest thing I have done in a while.

Limbeck-In Ohio on Some Steps
Limbeck was one of those bands I really liked in high school; our group of friends would try to see them play live whenever we could. I don't even know what has happened to them since. One time I was at the Coop Fountain and the cashier was wearing a Limbeck shirt, which triggered some serious reminiscing.

This one is super terrible, but since I'm feeling nostalgic, and it's been a rain- and nap-heavy day, I'll let it pass.

Week 5

This has been a truly terrible week, emotionally, school-wise, and otherwise. Lost a friend, lost a key, lost a lot of time. Went into lab today to realize I know nothing. I need some me time, g damn it.

Second week lull (aka 34th week laziness)

Cover of Arcade Fire-Sprawl II It's always weird to hear your own voice and realize it sounds nothing like you think it does. Also I was not warmed up for this, but this beats reading my MCB paper any time. Also I did this in a record 2 takes, which explains its overall crappiness.

In other news, school has been ok. It's weird being in second year: having to climb a new set of stairs each day has been difficult. Also our weirdly inverted schedule has been disorienting, to say the least. Over the summer, I was nerdily excited to get back into the routine, only I forgot how freaking traumatic this whole thing is, and I forgot exactly how high your baseline level of stress is (I've estimated it to be five thousand times resting summer rate). It's been hard, especially since I've been getting more involved in extra curriculars (Lambda and Friends (School's LGBT & Allies Group)), ZWEACC (Zoo, Wildlife, Exotics, Avian, and Conservation Club), and the Big Sib Committee (this involves pairing first year vet students with second (and third! at least I'm trying) year mentors, and not like, community outreach to underserved community youth. Which is what Bobby thought it was. Sigh. Someday.) And rotations have been way earlier than I'm used to. I did my first one-student on client examination last week (oye) and this week, I did my first cephalic draw after a rather traumatic failure at 2 jugular draws. When and how will I ever get better at these basic things... But yes, with all this going on (plus my healthy dose of procrastination), there's hardly enough time in the world to learn all that I'm supposed to. Oh well.

I'm going to post a better one tomorrow. My fingers are shredded and my neighbors hate me. And this version is still not perfect. Damn you, Sonia.
